Finding Balance in Chaos

Sep 26, 2024

KŪ THOUGHT

"Balance is not something you find; it's something you create."

KŪ REFLECTION

"He lei poina ʻole ke keiki" – A beloved child is a lei never forgotten.

There was a time when everything felt out of control—work, family, personal goals. I felt like I was juggling too much, but instead of letting it overwhelm me, I realized I needed to create balance rather than waiting for it to arrive. By setting boundaries and prioritizing what truly mattered, I made space for chaos and calm to coexist.  Connecting with my inner child reminded me of the beauty and wonder life brings you.

"Life is a balance between holding on and letting go." — Rumi

KŪ ACTION

This week, focus on creating balance in your daily routine by identifying one thing you can let go of to make room for peace.

CHECK YOUR MANA

Is your life currently balanced? If not, what steps can you take this week to realign your focus and priorities?

One of the things I've been working on to bring balance is starting to write again.  It used to be a daily practice but became less frequent because I felt I didn't have the time. But after taking a step back, I realized there were things I could let go of to focus on what truly mattered to me.

But think about what happens to your body when you take a moment to reconnect with your Hā, your breath.  Take a deep breath now.  That was a moment of stillness, where you created space outside yourself.    We are all busy and there is so much to be...
Embracing Mahalo
KŪ THOUGHT "Mahalo opens the door to abundance." KŪ REFLECTION "Mahalo i ka mea loaʻa" – Be grateful for what you have In moments of stress, I used to forget all the good things in my life. But I found that mahalo changes everything. By taking a moment each day to appreciate what I have, my perspective shifted, and I felt more fulfilled. Mahalo doesn’t just bring maluhia (peace); it invites ab...
Finding Purpose in the Process
KŪ THOUGHT "The journey matters as much as the destination." KŪ REFLECTION "I ka wā ma mua, ka wā ma hope" – The future is in the past. Sometimes we become so focused on our goals that we overlook the value of the journey. I used to rush toward the finish line, but I realized that some of the greatest lessons and joys come from the process. Embrace each step, as it shapes who you become. "Happ...
