The Power of Resilience
KŪ THOUGHT
"Resilience isn’t about never falling; it’s about rising every time you do."
Authentic communication means expressing ourselves honestly and sharing our true thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or rejection. It also involves active listening—fully hearing and understanding the other person's perspective. When communicating authentically, we create a space of trust and openness, where both parties feel valued and understood.
KŪ REFLECTION
"ʻO nā hōkū nō nā kiu o ka lani. " - The stars are the spies of heaven. [The stars look down on everyone and everything.]
After facing personal loss, I found myself questioning how I could move forward. Over time, I learned that resilience wasn’t about ignoring pain but learning how to grow through it. Was it easy? No. But by embracing each challenge, I found strength I never knew I had. Like clouds that pass, difficult moments will fade, but the lessons we gain from them are like stars—constant and guiding.
"Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it's less good than the one you had before." — Elizabeth Edwards
KŪ ACTION
Practice mindfulness by acknowledging one challenge you’ve faced and reflect on how you overcame it.
