Note from Aipa: Back Home in The Island

Every once in awhile you must leave home an order to regain appreciation and purpose of why you are home.

Over this past weekend, I took a trip back to my second home – Redlands, CA.  It was a very nostalgic visit where I reconnected with former colleagues and athletes.  We drove down the rode where you would find me riding my bike to work at 5AM in the dark cold mornings.

I walked around the campus with my son and had people who I haven’t seen in 3-5 years come up to shake my hand and reminisce their times training and working with me.  It made me realize how much I enjoyed being a coach at the university.  Then close friends of mine showed up telling me how much they enjoy watching The Ku Project grow and encouraged me to keep going at it.

You can only sense how much mana I felt building up within in.

I was able to take myself out of the islands and look back at where it is I want to take The Ku Project.  For me, the sky’s the limit.

If you are reading this, I hope you are ready for a journey that is about making strength contagious by teaching people what it means to build a Kū body and live Kū.  This isn’t just for people in Hawaii.  We are empowered by so many different places, people, and experiences.  Where you are from doesn’t matter.  If you can find strength and empowerment in what you come across here at The Ku Project, then I think we are doing a good job.

Mahalo again for your attention.
