Embracing Discomfort for Growth

Aug 29, 2024

KŪ THOUGHT

True growth starts at the edge of your comfort zone.

KŪ REFLECTION

"Kūlia i ka nuʻu" – Strive to Reach the Summit"

I still fear public speaking, but that fear often keeps me from sharing my ideas and connecting with others. Deciding to push through that discomfort, I worked on taking every opportunity to speak, no matter how small. Over time, this discomfort turned into confidence, and now, speaking to a crowd comes a bit more naturally than before.

"We grow by embracing the discomfort of change." — Max DePree

KŪ ACTION

  • Try something new this week, even if it feels uncomfortable. Growth happens outside your comfort zone.

CHECK YOUR MANA

How is your energy? Are you stretched too thin, or is there room for growth? Adjust as needed to maintain balance.

Growth is a journey, not a destination. Embrace the process and Keep it KŪ even when it’s challenging.

So we want to ask you: Whose story should we sit with? As we begin building the KŪ Digital M...
A place for our stories to live
We grow up hearing stories so often that we assume they’ll always be there.  Stories around the dinner table.  Stories from our kūpuna. Stories about where we came from, how things used to be, what our families went through, and the small things that shaped who we are.  Until one day, we realize we never recorded them. Over the years, KŪ Project has changed in a lot of ways. But the thing under...
