4 Qualities of Kū Guys

character qualities of real men

We feel the need to constantly define what it means to Be Kū, not only to make sure we hammer it in like a nail into your hand to make a point.  But the definition constantly evolves the more we learn and grow.

The word Kū itself can mean to stand, to rise, to appear and show, and to transform.  It’s also a known as an Ancient Hawaii god with many different kinolau (many forms), with the most popular being the god of war.

So already we know that when you are Kū, you have a certain presence about you.  People can feel your mana and look towards you to be that symbol of strength.

Kū can be explainable, learned, and simply defined as “the ability to empower strength and inspiration within others through the influence of character.”

Guys who share this powerful ability, of being Kū, have these four things in common:

1. They are passionate

The love and accept life.  Everyone has their own way of showing how passionate they are about life.  There are those who are very outspoken and are great orators while others show their passion by action through the work they do.  Either way, others can sense this passion and love for what they do.  This sense of passion becomes contagious and makes others wanting to go on a self journey to find their own passion.

2. They are life learners

The more they learn, the more they grow.  They believe in mastery and understand part of mastery is ability to always learn.  Through learning they can help others become stronger by sharing their experiences and add value to people.  As a life learner, they are natural teachers and see people as not as they are, but as they could be.

3. They control their aggression

They don’t see aggression negatively.  It is only negative if you take negative actions.  They accept that there are ups and downs in life and not everything will always be flowers and rainbows.  Some days will be harder and filled with frustration and maybe even anger.  The Kū guy has the ability to be aware of the aggression, accept it for what it is, not ignore it because it only builds more, and channels the aggression into a positive outlet or in an appropriate way.

4. They make strength contagious

They find strength within a smile, a helping hand, a word of advice, or even just being present.  Kū guys have a special ability to make others feel comfortable, safe, and even stronger by their presence alone.  Their intention with every interaction is to make a person feel stronger than they were.
