The Crew Starts a New Cycle

We have a new spot to train.

This is huge for us because we now have a place that allows for more consistency.  With consistency, comes better results.  With better results comes, a strong environment dedicated towards reaching Kūmaka status.

What is Kūmaka?

exercise (3)

Kūmaka comes from a vision I’ve had many times.  I had dreams of a training facility where people interested in building a Kū body and living a Kū life came together to train our most important vehicle, the body.

The image that sticks out to me the most were the eyes.  The eye showed focus, determination, humility, strength, responsibility, struggle, acceptance, and perseverance.

When one reaches Kūmaka status, they have accepted the responsibility of being the symbol of strength for their family, community, and most importantly, themselves.  At The Kū Project, it starts with train our bodies.

Train With Us

Now that we have the opportunity to train out of a facility, we will be experimenting with training programs that are geared towards specific goals with the ultimate one being, of course, Be You. Be Kū.

I believe we are all strong and powerful.  It takes surrounding yourself with strength and training your body to bring out your full potential.  We will be starting a new training cycle geared towards strength and work capacity.

The strength exercises for this cycle will be Snatch Deadlift, Overhead Press, and Box Squats.
