I’ll be honest, I like Instagram and use it very often (@theaipaproject). We always come across people on their phones scrolling through instragram or maybe taking a photo or 15 second clip to post. Let’s not forget the hashtags.
But I’m learning that I don’t follow very many people; mostly family, friends, and a few others who I fancy to post interesting things. So today, I want to share with you 10 Hawaii instagram people who post things that I think are Kū and in no particular order.
VENTURE HAWAII @venturehawaii
Tony Sedillo and Kyla Vida are the owners of Venture Hawaii who share their thirst for adventure. They share places I never knew existed in Hawaii and they have a good time doing it. They post their adventures on cool hikes, ocean ventures, waterfalls and streams, and all in our beautiful Hawaii. Their community continues to grow and it’s been really cool to follow their ventures.
ZAK NOYLE @zaknoyle
Like he needs more followers. Zak is a professional photographer, who’s on staff with SURFER Magazine, advocate for RVCA, and Ambassador for Waiola Coconut Water. His pictures takes you to places and moments in the water that happen to fast to reflect on and allows you to capture the beauty and power of the ocean.
KUHA’O ZANE @kuhao
He is a graphic designer, hula dancer, progressive thinker, and yes, son of Sig Zane. I recently came across his profile when POW! WOW! HAWAII 2015 kicked off with artists doing murals in Kaka’ako. It’s neat to see the behind the scenes of all the work that goes on behind the designs and his involvement with the community..
KIMI WERNER @kimi_swimmy
She is a freediver, painter, and traveler who shares her adventures. She swims with dolphins, spears tuna, shares her paintings and time with family and friends, and was also a TEDxMaui speaker. Her pictures are crisp and captivating.
DUSTIN @shakadee_ss
Member of the Shakas and Snatches Team, Dustin is a Hawaii Crossfit athlete who posts training, both the PRs and failures, along with his food indulges and many #WCWs (Women Crush Wednesdays). He trains out of Arkaios Crossfit in Waipahu and a will be a future guest on The Kū Project Podcast.
JACK CAMBRA @jcfifty
There is a powerlifter within all of us. Another profile I came across recently was Jack Cambra of Fifty Barbell and CrossFit Fifty. First, I think the gym set-up is awesome and second, not only is he strong but he also train some strong wahines over there as well such as Junior Raw Powerlifter, Stacia-Al Mahoe (@ii.am.legend.01)
HŌKŪLEʻA WORLDWIDE VOYAGE @hokuleawwv
If you are not following this profile, then I think you better get on board. Hōkūleʻa is sailing across the world to grow a global movement toward a more sustainable future. Talk about putting Hawaii on the world map.
DANIEL AIPA @theaipaproject
Eh, this is my list so of course I’m going to put myself. Why not?
WHO ELSE IS THERE?
I know there are so many other great people out there sharing their posts, adventures, stories, and experiences on Instagram. Who do you follow that share Kū stuff? Add them to the list in the comment section below.
