Every training session we try to incorporate a loaded carry or sled work variation. Why? For several reasons. We believe loaded carries and sled work:
- Have a direct transfer for functional strength.
- Enhance work capacity and conditioning
- Increase fat loss and exercise economy
- You look Kū doing them because majority of the population don’t do them.
The best sled we used to this day is the EliteFts Prowler, but any sled you can get your hands on will do. When performing the Sled Press, make sure to have tension on the strap before you press forward. Keep your feet planted throughout the movement. After you complete the press, then you step forward and set up for the next rep.
As you watch the video above, pay attention to the body angle and make sure to alternate which leg is forward. We like to do this exercise for either distance or repetitions.
