What’s Your Vision?

Vision without action is merely a dream.  Action without vision just passes the time.  Vision with action can change the world. -Joel A. Baker

We all have a vision for our life.  A vision is an aspiration of what you would like to accomplish in the future.

People use vision boards, statements, and I’ll be honest, I have a private Pinterest Vision Board that my wife doesn’t even have access to.  A vision is meant to be crazy.  Sometimes people focus so much on strategy but lack vision.  Having a vision will attract the strategy you need to see your vision come into fruition.

Maybe you have a vision of running your first marathon, competing in your first lifting event, starting a business, or becoming some sort of public figure.  It’s important to make sure it is crystal clear and it’s what you truly want.

If you are looking at making a change in your life, you have to be clear on what you want.  Sometimes we worry so much on how we will accomplish our vision that we spend more time strategizing, meeting, connecting dots, networking, that our vision becomes less clear.

My Vision

Can I share a little of my vision?

Thanks.

My vision is to create an Active Collaborative Center that integrates Performance, Creative, and Hawaiian Culture.  I believe it’s important to embrace progress, learn self expression through creativity and collaboration, and build a strong and healthy body.

Imagine a center dedicated to physical training, creativity, community collaboration, and the perpetuation of Hawaiian culture.  A place where you can work on community projects and events, develop a start-up, and networking with a full weightlifting training facility under one roof.  It’s a center that is based off the premise that physical performance invigorates creativity and productivity all to help you build a Kū body and live a Kū life.

How to Develop a Vision

Here’s what I do:

  • Find a place where you can be alone and free from distraction.  I find coffee lounges work best for me.
  • Turn off your cell phone and email notifications.
  • Take a moment to clear your mind and thoughts and ask for guidance to lead with your heart.
  • Write down the things you don’t like in your reality at the moment.  Just be honest.
  • Now write what you would like to see happen.  Make it as detailed as possible and don’t hold back.  If you think you are being crazy, that means you are doing it right.  Tip: Write it in present tense, it makes it feel more believable.
  • Read your vision on a daily or weekly basis, and share it with others you believe will benefit from your vision.

I like to share my vision with you because I’m here to serve you.  I’m on a mission to helping others become the strongest version of themselves and it starts with building a stronger and healthy body.

Now, The Kū Project has been built into a strong community of people who want to live healthier and stronger lives, dedicated to continuous learning and growth, and believe they have so much more to contribute to themselves and others.

The next step is creating a hub for all the pieces to come together for the ultimate experience of building a Kū body and live a Kū life.

I am always open to feedback, ideas, or suggestions.  Currently, I am looking for a space (doesn’t have to be big) to accommodate our community for training (we like to train hard and lift heavy), workshops, and collaborations.

If you know of any place (warehouse, storage, garage, etc.) that may have extra space available that’s sitting idle, please let me know.  We want to take the next steps in making people stronger and would like you, the community, to be involved.
