Kaʻuanoe on Recharging People’s Mana through PEMF and Empowering the Community

You are surrounded by energy.  Hawaiians believe that everything possesses a power source called Mana.  We recharge our Mana by visiting our sacred and safe places, reconnecting with nature, and being around positive energy people who empower us, to name a few.

Ka’uanoe of Beyond the Bar in Kohala on Hawai’i Island is doing just that with the work she does in specializing in performance and lifestyle recovery through health and wellness.  In this podcast episode, we talk stories with Ka’uanoe to learn about her story of putting herself through college, living in a tent for 16 months while building her home, being a mother of 3 boys, coaching CrossFit, starting her own business during the pandemic, and making sure she takes the time for self-care.

According to Ka’uanoe, making sure she gives herself time to care for herself helps her be, “a better mom, better wife, better partner, better friend, a better person.”

Not only do we cover the importance of self-care but we dive into the work she is doing around PEMF, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. PEMF uses healthy electromagnetic frequencies, as opposed to cell phone frequencies, to enhance overall health and wellness.

Think of how you charge your phones and car batteries, or put gas in your car, she explains that PEMF is “recharging our body at a cellular level.”  In it’s simplest form, PEMF significantly increases circulation and has a wide variety of health benefits such as reduce inflammation and improve oxygen absorption.

Along with sharing her work and approach to health and wellness, we touch upon the importance of walking barefoot to ground ourselves, reconnecting with nature and our culture to build up our Mana, empowering people in our community, and the importance of creating an environment where people can grow and succeed.

Ka’uanoe is a true inspiration of using her passion to help better her community and help others stand taller and stronger, to be KŪ.  For all that she does, we appreciate her work.

Lastly, feel free to subscribe to the show over on iTunes or Spotify.  If possible, we’d really appreciate a review of the KU Project Podcast.  It will greatly help us let our voices be heard.

Honored to do the work and Mahalo for supporting us.
