How to Lose Fat Fast? Changing Your Mindset

One of the most popular searches on Google and YouTube is based around How to Lose Fat Fast?

This search brings a slew of contradicting information that penetrates the mind which will either clarify what you are searching for or confuse you even more.

Rather than tell you what’s the best diet or the best exercises to lose fat fast, I want to challenge you to change your mindset of rushing for a quick fix.

Most of the articles and videos out there, while sharing their own thoughts on what it takes, have these 3 common components:

  1. Patience
  2. Caloric Deficit
  3. Proper Exercise

Many of us have tried some diet or program that promises fast results, like lose 20lbs in one month. You push yourself to the deadline, experiencing an array of physical and emotional stress, but are excited about the results you get.

The problem with these quick fixes and fast results is what happens after the fact. You most likely see those results fade away even faster than you got them.

Why is that?

While this isn’t a physics class, think of Newton’s Third Law of every action has an equal and opposite reaction. If you look at the physiological action that takes place within your body at a fast rate, you must expect there to be some sort of reaction to take place.

This is why I challenge you to leave the mindset of losing fat fast and place the focus more towards creating sustainable habits that allow for a gradual loss of fat with acceptance that it’ll take longer than you’d like.

That may not sound exciting or at all sexy compared to the “influencer” shredded bodies you see on social media promising fast results. It’s not.

Instead, it’ll bring more self awareness to your body, the lifestyle behaviors that may need to change, your relationship with food, and what works best for YOU.

This approach of letting go of the trends around quick fat loss and quick fixes will give you something better than a fast six pack – it’ll give you control of your own fitness and health for sustainable results and an overall healthier lifestyle
