HANA KA LIMA Series

Pa’a ka waha, nana ka maka; hana ka lima.
Shut the mouth; observe with the eyes; work with the hands.
(One learns by listening, observing and doing.)
– Mary Kawena Pukui

I believe in order to get something done, you must be willing to put in the work.  Many times when we want to accomplish a dream or goal our actions aren’t in line with what we say we want to do.  It doesn’t matter what you say.  What matters most is what you do, how you do it, and why you do it.

Nothing replaces hard work.  I do feel there must be some sort of talent behind the hard work but like Tim Notke said, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”  When it comes to building a Ku body and living Ku, it takes hard work.  It’s not an easy journey but it is a rewarding and meaningful one.

HANA KA LIMA reminds me that in order to continue my journey of learning what it means to be Kū and helping other along the way, I must not be afraid of hard work and most importantly – being patient.

With that being said, I released a series of apparel that sets as a reminder for you to keep putting in the work towards achieving whatever goal or dream you have.  A reminder that actions speak louder than words and that you can’t be afraid of hard work.
