Support The Kū Project

aipa shaka

I appreciate you.

I’ve been asked, “What is the goal of The Kū Project, what’s the big vision?”

My biggest vision and goal is to serve.  But it’s hard to help and serve without having people, like you, in the community.

I shared my personal goal as an entrepreneur in an earlier essay, What’s Your Vision?, but The Kū Project site is a vehicle to share ideas, thoughts, learnings, and have it ser as a platform to help you be stronger, to Be Kū.

As The Kū Project continues to grow, I am introduced to the idea, by colleagues and other business experts, of placing advertisements all over the site to monetize it.  Money has never been the driving force behind The Kū Project.

If I begin to clutter the site with advertisements it will only take away from the message I am trying to share with you.  There’s nothing wrong with ads, it just goes against my values of allowing any third-party consumer goods to take up space in our sacred domain.  All businesses and organizations mentioned on the site are inline with what I’m driven to accomplish here.  To make strength contagious.

The main way The Kū Project generates revenue are through books, training programs, speaking and coaching services.  For the books and training programs it takes months and hundred of hours to edit, design, format, rewrite, proof again, and put it out in the market.

For the speaking, I’m asked every so often to share my philosophy about ‘Building a Kū Body and Living a Kū life’ or some kind of empowerment talk to businesses and organizations.  Most of the time I’m happy to just go in and tell my story with the hopes of making a positive impact on just one person.

For coaching services, I train a handful of athletes.  But until I get a space to train in other than my house, I rarely take on anyone new.

You see, with The Kū Project, I can publish my work the moment it is written, giving you a look into what I believe is necessary for becoming Kū – for free.  I am thankful for everyone who shares my articles and essays with their friends and family which is why the site has been able to reach such a large audience all over the world.

I continue to work on side projects and always look for ways to share the story with more people through different vehicles, the newest ones being YouTube and BE KŪ apparel.    The Kū Project will continue to be the central hub to communicate the message of Kū.

This is what I do full-time.

I’ve been called crazy, insane, and a man with a vision but no plan.

Operating The Kū Project  is time consuming and takes me hundreds of hours a month to create and research content, and thousands of dollars to sustain. I refuse to litter the site with advertisements or make content hidden behind a paywall. I decided to let the community support my work to whatever degree you wish because without you The Kū Project wouldn’t exist.

If I bring you more strength and you find value in what I do, you can support me with a monthly donation subscription of your choice, between a cup of coffee and a big plate lunch.

I am grateful for the community who appreciates what I do.  I appreciate you, too, and can’t stress how important you are to Team Kū.

Mahalo for your Aloha and generosity, and giving me the opportunity to contribute beyond myself in a meaningful way.

Aloha and A hui hou.
