Mana Flow: Re-Energize Your Mana

Simply defined, mana is energy.

Imagine yourself sitting at a desk and feeling as if your energy levels are dropping down.  You can’t focus on whatever work you have and you find yourself double tapping on instagram photos or watching a random YouTube video which only makes you watch the next related one and 30 minutes later you have no idea what just happened.  Overall, your energy is just down which causes you to not perform at an optimal level.

Basically, your Mana is running low or you’ve allowed it to fall asleep because you’ve given it no reason.  When your Mana is flowing you are creating, contributing, making strength and contagious, and feeling Kū.

MANA FLOW

Mana Flow is a series of movement you flow through without any set progression or limitation.  Our movement flows with our breath.  You inhale through your nose and exhale out of your mouth with the sound, “Hā”.

Hā meaning breath but is also seen on a much more spiritual level in the Hawaiian culture.  Your Hā is your spirit.

During the Mana Flow it is important to fully exhale.  Remember, depending on your natural breath or the state you are in, your breath dictates the movement.  For starting off, just commit to at the least 1 minute first thing in the morning or midday at work.

Work your way up to 5 minutes.

 

THOUGHTS

The Mana Flow is something I am experimenting with to not only improve my movement but to also reconnect with the strength that lies within.
